VoilaVe Dead Sea Mud Mask is a smooth, rich dark green/brown mud mask with a thick pudding consistency. Avoiding the eye area, a thin layer applied on a cleansed and moistened area on any part of the body, removes dirt, and both visible and hidden toxins. I used the mud mask on my face and very close to my eyes with no adverse effects.

The first thing I noticed was the creamy smoothness of the mud, and the refreshing coolness on my face (this will be great during the hot summer months). I spread on a thin layer and waited 15 minutes. The mud stiffens, as it dries, not unpleasant, just a slight tautness. The mud dries to a grey/beige color, and I was surprised at the ease to rinse off. Immediately I noticed that it diminishes skin pores. Since my skin is on the dryer side, I do not have a problem with large pores, however, after rinsing, my pores were almost invisible. My skin felt super clean, almost squeaky clean, and there was no irritation as I have occasionally experienced from other masks that have left me with itchy skin. Although there was not any dryness, neither did it feel properly moisturized either, however I remoistened, used my toner, applied my facial serums, and my regular nightly moisturizer. Next morning my face was very soft, I only wonder if by removing any hidden impurities the Dead Sea Mud Mask left my skin more receptive to my facial serums. Anyway, I still have my fine lines, and the wrinkles are still there but my facial pores are invisible, and I think that my facial serums and moisturizer are able to penetrate deeper.

VoilaVe Dead Sea Mud Mask is a great investment for detoxing the surface skin for many reasons. The tub is a full 16oz., which is a full pound; therefore, there is an awful lot there for the money, with an expiration date on the back!
